Bias
With each thought which even vaguely crosses your mind, whether it is fully conscious or not. Whether is it fully recognized, fully believed, or fully realized or not, as many as, or more than 1,400 biochemical responses immediately ensue.
With each thought, be it one of positivity, negativity, or ambiguity, your physical body responds in a near incredibly complex cascade of communication. An intricate language of neurochemical and electrochemical signals, which instantaneously manifest as dynamic physical transformations.
We humans generally have a cognitive negativity bias.
Our brains naturally favor the memories of negative experiences, over those of positive ones. This bias, this favoritism is an evolutionary tactic, which allows us to steal our physical and mental against potential threats.
That being said, when we allow our negative cognitive to run wild and unchecked, the thoughts that we have can and do leave an indelible mark on our physical and mental health.
If, however, we learn to shift our biases toward favoring a more positive perspective. If we begin to incorporate techniques that help us subtly change our minds, we can actively and organically impact our overall quality of life.
Through small choices and mindful practices, we can fundamentally transform ourselves, our bodies, and our lives.
