Create

I had forgotten what it feels like to create. 
To get lost in the creative process. 
To passionately pursue inspiration. 
In itself, for itself. 
Not creating out of necessity.
Not to make a grade, to keep a job, to support a client.
Not to reach a goal, to maintain, or to spur change. 
Simply create.
For the passion.
For the pure fulfillment of manifesting art out of the ether.

I had forgotten. 
Now, I have remembered. 
Creativity is completely essential.
For mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. For growth. For evolution. For survival.
In the absence of creativity, of innovation, evolution grinds to a halt.
In this world which focuses almost exclusively on cold, hard numbers. On stability and security. Innovation is often sacrificed in favor of "tried and true". Of habitude.

Please, Beloved. 
Remember to create. 
Whether it's a song, a poem, an image, a recipe. Remember that what you do, what you build, what you are, is art.
Remember that your life is art.

Sure remember to focus, and hustle, and be stable if that's your jam. ...but don't forget to evolve.
Don't forget to create.
