Talk About It
What is the one thing you are absolutely terrified to talk about?
Don't worry, I'm not calling you out, you don't have to say it.
This is not a "comment below with your deepest secrets" moment.
Just, take a minute.
Take a deep breath.
Think about it.
What is the one conversation you simply cannot have?
Is it with your father? Mother? Partner? A friend?
Whatever it is, find the one thing you can't say.
Find it. Feel it. Breathe into it. Do NOT turn away from it.
Now, SAY it. Preferably to the person it pertains to. If not, say it to yourself, a stranger, the dark, the stars. Just say it, to something, or someone, somehow.
It's the things we can't say that poison us.
It's the tension, the breathless apprehension, the resentment, the regret. They eat us up inside.
If we can't find a way to lean into the discomfort of silence, and bring movement to the stagnation which rests there, we breed complacency, and decay. That sh*t is toxic. It turns the mind into a perpetual prison.
And, more often than not, the saying it isn't even a fraction as bad as keeping it in.
So, Beloved, I implore you.
Just say it.
