Kin
There's no way to sugar coat this, so I'm just going to come right out and say it:
I feel the whole, "soul mates" thing is complete and utter bullshit.
Who you are, what you do, and whether or not you are compatible with potential partners (be they friends, family members, business associates, or lovers) are not dictated by fate, nor by some convoluted, dogmatic expression of energetic alignment.
In this life, when you find someone you truly click with, someone who matches you on countless levels, your comparability is not an intangible, romantic fairytale of chance and destiny.
It's a tangible, measurable, quantifiable equation based on priorities, preferences, timing, and choice.
Yes, if you want to talk about past lives, and karmic entanglements that shape our shared experiences, I'm game. Let's go there. Let's talk about karmic contracts and teaching journeys which span innumerable lifetimes. Let's talk about love stories that defy the bounds of space and time. About epic narratives that shape the unfolding of universal history. But listen, if we're going to talk about it, let's really talk about it. No holes barred, no holding back.
Energy is neither created nor destroyed, right? So the energy which flows through your firing synapses as you read these words is inherently entwined with the energy which I used to write them. You and I, and every living being in this mind-bogglingly complex continuum are quantumly entangled.
The actual, factual reality is that we are all, every single one of us, so interwoven, so inextricably connected as to be nearly indistinguishable from one another.
I've been you. You've been me.
The breath in your lungs, as you inhale, right now, has been in mine countless times.
The copper in your blood, the sulfur in your bones have been cycled and recycled through billions and trillions of other beings within this biosphere.
At a genetic level, at an electromagnetic level, we are ALL, all 7.642 billion of us, kin. We are, we have been, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, cousins, friends, parents, partners, lovers, haters, and everything in between.
It is the choices we make in the face of that fact which matter most.
